Why is it called the Toutant Intellectual Competition Fund?

The fund honors Ed Toutant (1951-2018) who participated in a variety of intellectual competitions and encouraged others to take part.  More about Ed can be found in this article or here.

Why is the TICF part of the Wheat Ridge Community Foundation?

The TICF committee will determine criteria for grant applications and publish documents during 2019.  The committee will evaluate subsequent grant requests for distribution beginning in 2020.

What is the TICF Endowment?

The TICF endowment will provide a perpetual source of grant funds by keeping an original amount invested and then using accrued income from dividends for support of intellectual competition.

When will grants become available?

The TICF endowment will generate growth during the balance of the calendar year 2019 for distribution beginning in calendar year 2020.
